Boston Bombing TrialOn April 15, 2013, the annual Boston Marathon turned tragic when two bombs detonated near the finish line. The bombings took the lives of 3 innocent by-standers and injured over 260 people.  At least fourteen of those injured required amputations.

Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev were quickly named suspects-in-question by authorities who found photographs of them at the scene with dark colored backpacks that were believe to be similar to the remains left around the bombs discovered by investigators.

Tamerlan Tsarnaev was killed in a gunfight with police authorities, while his brother escaped. Dzhokhar was later found injured in a boat located in the backyard of a resident of Watertown, Massachusetts.

Dzhokhar is seeking treatment at a local hospital and is awaiting trial on federal charges that could result in the death penalty.
